Think, that marriage not dating ep 14 eng are absolutely

pity, that now

Ki-tae is interviewed in his home, where he discusses his love of his house. He says he was once alone here as a child and this is why he loves to be alone here now. The ringing turns to pounding as Ki-tae adds, almost angrily, that now he wants to be with that girl. We rejoin Ki-tae and Jang-mi just as he opens the bottle of wine, and Jang-mi suggests that they date casually, without marriage in mind. She suggests they keep things secret from their parents, at least until she gets a job and his clinic is back in business.

I want her to divorce Ki Tae's dad and become the world's largest producer of kimchi. The fact that this drama is ending today breaks my heart. Hopefully this ends in a real life couple as well But on to the episode. I LOVE how there is so much communication between the leads now! After weeks of running in circles, we didn't have to put up with that for longer than 20 minutes since they've gotten together and it's lovely. I even found myself wondering if I was still watching the same drama as we've gone from innumerable misunderstandings to adults actually talking through problems!

K-Drama land, you did it! Though that cancer thing was thrown in at the last seconds of the episode, people have been guessing she was sick for a bit now so it wasn't like a shock or random. The writer also seems to be very smart with pacing and plot points for the most part so I will trust that this will not make the final episode a confusing one. And can I just take a minute to talk about that skinship?

I need to send this writer a muffin basket. We have been showered with adorableness these past 2 weeks. Such a cute couple, ugh! Every time Yeon Woo Jin smiled my heart melted.

I'm going to miss this drama so freaking much! Fingers crossed that tomorrow's episode is full of awesome and that I don't die from heartache at the end of such a perfect drama.

Something I particularly like about this drama is that, even though some say it took our leads too long to get together, at least ALL the misunderstandings occurred back before they established their feelings.

I really love how once they really got together, they stayed together and built a strong relationship. Thank you for the recap. It really adds to my enjoyment of the show. Such a poignant, sweet and sad episode. Dealing with KT's relationship with his mum, the mystery about that part of his childhood and why mum stayed in that marriage explaned. That phone call to him mum, awww.

KT's and JM's interactions are the sweet notes in this episode, great chemistry between them. That spicy rice cakes :. JM's mum facing the dreaded disease pulled us back down into the harsh reality. Hope she can pull through this one! This drama really exceeds all my expectations. At first I thought it will be just another rom-com drama revolving around a working class girl that finally found her "prince charming" to lean on, but this drama actually emphasizes on -just like what girlfriday says- being together for better or worse.

Jangmi is there for Gitae and so is Gitae. They help and support each other through their hard times. I rarely see this kind of story in K-drama.

It feels sweet and warm, I love it! Great episode! I just want to thank TvN for giving these actors the opportunity to headline a show. The big 3 would never take a chance on them since they are neither big named idols or A list celebrity. They really have an eye for finding that diamond in the rough. I will miss this show and will definitely keep a lookout for Han Groo and Yeon Woo Jin's future projects. Yeon Woo Jin's acting is just amazing. Him crying lile a child in that scene, omg.

Even without saying anything, I was able to understand what he's feeling. He's just sooooo good. His chemistry with Han Groo carries the show too. I mean, they look so good together as if it's not a drama and it's just them dating for real. Even though it's just Jang Mi's imagination, that scene with her slapping Gi Tae's father with makgeolli was so satisfying! Most fun I've had in a while!

This show never stops to amaze me. And the phone call with gi tae and his mom ackk got me right wher it hurts and the ending too ufff I can't get enuf of this show only one episode left :' My fav part of this ep: drenched dad even if it didn't actually happen so damn satisfying and also the lack of se ah :.

Ki-tae finally opening up to his mother and understanding. Counting hours to the final episode! Still can not believe this show come to the end. Goodness gracious, the mother-son phone convo scene is so epic.

all? think, that

The show proves that you can convey that feelings without saying anything. Gi tae must have want to say a lot of things like "thank you""sorry", and "i love you". Any of this words would have make me cry, but when he only said "mother The feelings are so raw and honest and realistic that it did not need a dialogue. Good job to the actor and actress! This scene will be forever on my top list of favorite korean drama scenes. Nothing much to say about this episode, words aren't enough to say how much I love them esp that phone convo between mom and his son.

T im gonna be sad when it ends. This show is so much about how we just want others to acknowledge us and the multiple layers of love involved. Good job show. I will so miss you and spending time with everyone in it. Cancer in Episode 15? Not even at the beginning of the episode Where they do that at? This is the most unnecessary Cancer in the history of Unnecessary Cancer!

I was all set to come on here and sing the praises of yet another stellar episode but now I just want to garble incoherently for a couple of minutes. Bear with me guys Funny, I felt the exact opposite :P It was the first time I didn't roll my eyes watching the disease plot being used I guess because it feels like it explains a lot about what happened before, about Jamg Mi's mom reactions.

I thought it was brought up nicely, even though it was a surprise. And worse than that is the realization that I'm actually going to miss hanging around these characters every week This episode. I knew the open was a fantasy sequence, but it was still so damn satisfying to see Philandering Dad get it in the face. At least the Awful Mistress had the good sense to be embarrassed.

Of course, in both scenes the fantasy and the real onethe highlight was Yeo Reum's grin of schadenfreude. Even in her fantasy, Jang Mi knows that Yeo Reum will be enjoying the show.

As a YR fan, I'm happy that he has apparently come to terms with his place in JM's life it made me so happy that he called Ki Tae to report what happened with Aunt. I'd like to think that they later really do become besties and there's lots more happy threesome moments. Holy cow. I especially liked that she just kind of threw up her hands and accepted that Jang Mi is just weird and that maybe weird is what the family needs. I'm sad that the show went the cancer route instead of the surprise pregnancy route come on, show - how can you handle that in one remaining episode?

Gimme a break! But I was happy that a Jang Mi's mother has noticed that she's not spending her nights at home, and b that JM's Mom beat the crap out of Ki Tae for trying to be cute with her this entire series is Ki Tae realizing he's not as smooth as he thinks he is, heh. My son came from the back of the house to see what I was laughing about, because the last scene was so.

I still think I'd have preferred the surprise pregnancy, but I thought the cancer was handled fairly well - I'll admit I didn't think they could pull it off, but they wove it in well enough with the lighter stuff that it didn't drag the show down. With this drama Kim Hae-sook has risen to the top of my list of favorite actors. The subtlety with which she shows her emotions is amazing.

Her face is like a placid lake that is occasionally rippled by the wind. When a mood is expressed, it is so surprising that the effect is magnified ten-fold. The subtle approach is so appropriate since she is playing a woman who has staked her life on hiding all her feelings to protect what is most important to her.

Since the earliest episodes, we can see how annoying she is to Gi Tae, but also sense how her Tiger-mom devotion to him is rooted in deep love.

And her little smirks behind Gi Tae and Jang Mi's backs tell us that she is having more fun than she's probably had in her entire life playing their game.

And really, we can see near the end that we thought it was Gi Tae and Jang Mi's game, but really, it's been Mom's game all along. In fact, this show is not so much a show about our OTP, but about Gi Tae's mom, and what it means to be a mom.

I agree, KT Mom is fantastic and I love that she wasn't just left to be a cardboard cutout witch. I sure hope Kim Hae Sook gets all the credit she deserves for this show. It's easy to get caught up in all the young and pretty ones but there's no show here without her. Someone please tell me that Yeon Woo Jin has already completed army duty sometime ago because touchwood if there's this sudden announcement of him not being on screen for another 2 years anytime soon I swear I'll totally do what mom does and start pulling somebody's hair out.

The nearest I can get my hands on excluding mine. It's over, you guys. I feel so empty. I haven't watched it with subs yet, but I am very satisfied with the last episode : I just don't want it to end So few shows have characters that I actually enjoy as personalities Wow, that sounds borderline nutso, doesn't it?

I don't even care. You were really smart to do so. I was going to stop half-way and then finish it later, but I just couldn't!!! Trust me, though, for that ending Let's just say it goes out with a bang LOL! Yeah, it really genuinely feels like friends are moving away forever and all I have left is home-videos of them LOL.

I don't normally feel that way about dramas because I'm usually excited to see the resolution of the story and how the ending ties things up for the characters. I guess what I'm trying to say is that some of my favorite dramas I love for their completeness and by the time they're done, I'm ready to send them on their way. But with this show, literally ever episode brought me delight, and it actually felt like I was just hanging out with these characters each week.

And now they're just gone : So clearly, if you're nutso, so am I. I can never help myself when it comes to MND, haha. I watch the raw episode the morning of and then the subbed version countless times afterwards to tie me over until the next episode. Now I don't even know what to do with myself I love how the actors, director, and writers work together to turn each character into a human being.

This is a story of how people come into new understanding and lift each other up. So awesome. I have enjoyed each week and will put this on my favorites list on a rainy weekend. I think this drama has ruined me for good. Now I want every other drama to be as cute and heartfelt and funny and poignant as this. You are my biggest, sweetest surprise of the year, drama. I'm going to swear by it.

All Yeon Woo Jin has to do is smirk shyly a little or do something out of the box with his face and I would have dropped my pants in an instance. Now that the drama is over I've just seen the final ep, even without subs it feels so goddamn satisfyingmy weekend won't feel as exhilarating and the rest of the week won't feel as insufferable. This is too bittersweet. Thank you for being so good, drama. I am gonna miss you. Thank you to you too, girlfriday and LollyPip. The MND experience won't be as fun without you girls' recaps.

And I'll just have to chip in with everyone on Kim Hae Sook. I know she has alaways been on my good side. But never did she got sooo glowing and triumphant like she in in MND. Aside from Ki-tae and Jang-mi, I just want to thank the writer for writing Mom's character so well. Her transformation was so well though out as id they were trying to make us hate Mom in the first place before turning the table on us and show what does being a Mom really mean. And it is soo, soo, gut-wrenching and satisfying to watch.

I don't think Mom would be as awesome if the character were to be handed to another actress. Because in lesser capable hands, the character would seem one-dimensional.

That sad, miserable, thrown aside wife just waiting to hurt anyone who came across her. So, Bravo, Kim Hae-Sook. And Grandma! I love Grandma to bits! You are now my favorite veteran actress and that's saying a lot. Totally agree, Kim Hae Sook has made that character so real and memorable.

I've seen a lot of mom's in kdrama and this one stands out! Can't believe this the finale weekend! It went by so quickly, which says a lot about the show.

Everything came good together; the writing, directory, editing, it was splendid I laughed and cried through it- that an amazing ride!

And don't we have the best Couple before us?! Fake, real and in between Jang-mi and Gi-tae always had this great chemistry! At some point GT and his mom got me really frustrated, but I never hated them, they obviously had some issues they needed to sort out.

And they did! That phone call with few words spoke volumes, and men the feels, so well executed by everything. Dad is gone completely mad, so so shameless- what a waste of oxygen I so wish that JM had really poured rice wine on him.

I totally did the evil laugh too and it felt great! You know what would make me happier now? The chairman's wife caught on the lie which is so obvious but still and deny him that job! Now I wouldn't mind if this drama had 50 episodes, we'd struggle along the way but we'll get there.

It's amazing how a show can be this good. It has been such a longtime, seriously. It's just so well-written and gosh', I always have been a sucker for family bond moments. I just can't help it. And the OTP, they are just so amazing together.

Marriage Not Dating Episode 1 | Dramacool

So adorable and yet so real. I like how it talks about marriage by not only focusing on the couple because we know like isn't a fairytale. Marriage isn't just about loving each other but loving each other's family too.

Both who dealt really well with family moments :.

Marriage not dating ep 14 eng

These last episodes have been so frustrating - why all of a sudden has it become about the parents' marriages cause honestly I don't really care. For a show that had the best beginning I've ever watched, I'm sorry to say it has the worst ending Well, I'm certainly glad the show didn't cater to your needs because if the show hadn't done what you fault it so much for in these last episodes then I would have been disappointed.

Better you, than me. Seriously, I'm all for family love and healing but I'd like to trade some of those numerous tears for the laughs I miss I got hooked on the show because of all the explosive fun. But it gave me something more than that. Behind all these seemingly shallow lives they have in which poop in yo pants receives one full episode of attention, there lies more complicated stuff like family love and the dizzyness of getting into a new relationship in the adult world where love is just isnt enough.

Where understanding and respect are needed as much as love. All the stuff you honestly dont care about is what makes this show endearing to me. For once im brought on a journey of people changing for the better, while for some han yeo reum revealing the inner kindness we all have but people failed to see.

Im sorry you had a bad viewing experience but im glad it ended the way it did not gonna spoil. Heck in even glad about the cancer because its just life Reminds me of Siwon's appa accident scene in reply Sometimes it takes a tragic event for you to see how muchyou love someone.

In spite of all these, they manage to keep the comedic to me parts which is smth i really love about tvn romcoms. Its not explosive lol moments but its a bitter joke that in the midst of these hardships theres always smth to laugh about.

The worst ending for you, one of the best endings for me. Hope the airing dramas give you more satisfaction. Hm, I guess I really couldn't tell you because all I know is that the cute, sweet, smart, and funny show that I loved? It's still here. Im trying to comment something here, but i end up speechless cause this drama is just freaking good! And, reading all the comments here are all positive. I've been watching countless K-dramas for like 12years and I found nothing as fascinating as MnD.

Sometimes, when you watch too much dramas, you will start to have a sixth-sense, what probably happen in the next sequence of scenes. But, this drama is just one of a kind. I can't predict any single scenes. I just lost my sixth sense.

I bet the writer is a genius. Sometimes a drama start so good, but slowly turn in to cliche, the writer may start to run out of ideas to prolong the episodes, and they just toss amnesia, cancer, noble idiocy, and time skip.

And, it all finished with a kiss and a proposal just like what girlfriday said. And, sometimes I begin to blame K-drama when I never experience "happily ever after" even when you already found your loved ones.

As I said I just lost my sixth sense. I thought this drama will just give me a cute proposal and beautiful wedding. But, they are not. Marriage is not as easy as saying, I Love You. You have a long way to go. Family approval and acknowledgement are just one big example. And when you can pass the thick and thin together, thats when you can say "happily ever after". I'm super emotional about it too. I had NO idea I'd get like this when the drama began. It started out cute and fun, but ended up becoming so much more than that.

I'll be looking out for more from this writer, this director, and all the actors involved and hope to see many more wonderful dramas by them in the future :. Me, too! Here's the thing - I hate romance, and most rom-coms leave me cold. I'm a fan of thrillers, horror, mysteries, cop shows, and supernatural hijinks of all kinds.

Which is why I cannot understand how completely obsessed I became with this show. I've watched all the episodes times, and dragged real life friends into it so I could talktalktalk about the plot and the metaphors and the directing choices, etc, etc. I hope this team does another drama together - this show was definitely greater than the sum of its parts.

Gosh, I love this drama Scenes that made me laugh the hardest include but are not limited to : 1. Lmaooooo Sigh, I could go on Awesome job writers, Awesome job.

Let's just take a moment to say "hurray! Zogzog August 22, at PM.

not simple, seems

So cute so cute so cute. She claims to be fine with Ki-tae working with Se-ah, though her voice is a little too shrill to be believable. Jang-mi brings her makgulli and kimchi pancakes, which Mom declares delicious. She hangs out while he works, but not even her creative calisthenics can get his attention. He tells Ki-tae that Jang-mi is working hard not to hurt him, and accuses him of not doing enough to make her feel secure.

Who knew Yeo-reum would ever lecture someone on how to be the kind of guy a girl can depend on? Mom shows them to Jang-mi then tears them up, and it gets even funnier when Jang-mi remembers that her parents met as pen pals. She says that at least Dad is writing to her, and she should write him back.

She says that love is over when you close your mouths, and Jang-mi has a sudden epiphany. Good girl. Jang-mi shows up anyway and pounds on his door, yelling for him to open up, and finally just unlocks the door herself. Jang-mi denies it but Ki-tae throws his arm around her and says that she is. They continue where they left off with Ki-tae saying that a girl has been making him uncomfortable, and everyone looks tense until the interviewer tells Jang-mi that he really wants to be with her.

Ki-tae and Jang-mi talk later, and Jang-mi finally voices her worry that they were more comfortable when their relationship was fake. She says that on the contrary, she gains energy to work so hard from all the sleep she gets by leaning on him, and Ki-tae fairly twinkles with happiness to hear it.

He asks Jang-mi to be with him tonight without sleeping, and they both giggle when she agrees. So cute. The secret that Ki-tae and Jang-mi are dating for real is finally out for all to see. I think it gave them both a bit of perspective into the other, to see things from the opposite point of view and to understand how things can change in an instant.

Their sudden change from near-villains trying to break up Ki-tae and Jang-mi, to Se-ah actually helping Ki-tae in business and Yeo-reum giving him relationship advice, is more than a bit strange. Unless I missed something, neither of them had to face any consequence of their previous actions or seemed to really have any reason to have changes of heart, other than that it serves the plot because someone was needed to do those things.

Aug 23,   Marriage Not Dating: Episode 15 by girlfriday. As it always is with this couple, whether fake or real, the greatest obstacle they face is family. Ki-tae thinks confrontation can be avoided, but Jang-mi has learned a thing or two about relationships, and knows that there is no difference between marriage and dating when it comes to Mom/5. Aug 18,   Marriage Not Dating: Episode 14 by LollyPip. It's an episode full of frustration for poor Ki-tae, both emotionally and physically, as he learns about life as the boyfriend of a successful entrepreneur. He and Jang-mi both learn a little about how important it is to communicate honestly, and I can only say thank goodness, it's about time/5. Jang-mi was right that they talked more, and were more honest, when their relationship was fake. I get why, because being in a relationship is scary, and being honest about your fears and insecurities makes you vulnerable. Showing someone your true self opens you up to rejection. But I loved their discussion about it, and how they both admitted it, because non-communication between leads is such a staple of dramas and I rarely see the characters actually sit down and actually talk about it.

So by seeing each other as they truly were, instead of the facade a person usually presents when in a new relationship, they were able to truly fall in love with the real person they were seeing. They know exactly who they fell for, without anyone being on their best behavior. These two are gonna make it. Your email address will not be published. I fell a little bit out of love with this show because of how crazy the second leads were. I still really enjoyed it but just didn't get so excited.

But, my love his been rekindled and I love this show even more than I did in the beginning. I was smiling and giggling the whole time and really just can't contain myself. I need the next episode. But it was in this episode when I suddenly realized that they are very much like friends in my circle: they are changeable, incomprehensible at times and even hurtful some other times; yet we seem bound never to leave each other for good and to unite against any perceived common enemies or struggles.

And we give as good as we receive. In short, being friends doesn't mean being lovey-dovey or agreeable or sweet with each other at all times - that is how I am with my social acquaintances, but not with my friends or members of my family. Unless I missed something, neither of them had to face any consequence of their previous actions or seemed to really have any reason to have changes of heart.

But I do understand. It is because they're friends who've become members of a family of choice. And there are consequences for previous actions, as much as there are acts of contrition for them. I have watched it about 6 ce.

It was oh so so cute. None of this jerking her by the arm and then mauling her unwilling face: instead, we get clear, up-front, adult communication about sex, and then some cute, embarrassed blushes on both sides. I squealed with happiness when she ran her foot up his leg after that chat, and then he tiptoed his fingers up her thigh.

This is what real people do when they are about to begin a sexual relationship: they flirt and mutually agree to sleep together. The lack of rapey overtones in this couple's sex life is sadly so refreshing. I love it. I am also so terribly happy to watch this episode and yunno what? Oh my I tried to ignore the absurdity of Se-ah's weird kindness. I'm all out - melted Ok, what I am trying to say is that in conclusion for this episode 14, this snapshot scene at the beginning is exactly what it is but with a more definite explanation what it is about and also it is with a happy note too!!

I'm to swayed away with the characters in this series I know Their parents JM's mom had terminal illness or pregnant? JM's parents get back together? Now I have nothing to fill weekend drama void. Wait, what? There are only 2 episodes left? That's not possible! The show just started like I wasn't on the dad's or mom's side. It was horrible in Korean and then horrible translated into English and then horrible the other times I listened to it and the cavalier attitude that he gave.

I do like that KT's mom straight asked him for a divorce, but it's clear it's KT's dad that's the one hanging onto the relationship, not visa versa. I find that refreshing in story terms, since mostly in dramaland it's usually the one being cheated on that hangs on with all they have. I'm glad they clearly showed it was the Dad hanging on as well.

I agree that too often they show the one being cheated on as the person clinging desperately to the relationship. I had an inking of what Dad's character was like when he mentioned that it would help his career promotion chances if Gi Tae ended up with Se Ah, but it was crystal clear in this episode and I think it will go a long way in helping Gi Tae find some understanding with his mom.

I swear, if Ki-tae would simply change his passcode, half the bad things that happen in this drama wouldn't happen LOL. Haha, but I'm actually glad this happened. I've had a feeling for a while now that a later episode would end with Ki-tae's mom walking in on them and it's one of those turns that I weirdly still enjoy despite the fact that I expected it all along. I know that this situation is particularly bad because Jang-mi literally just told her there was nothing between them, but given the way Ki-tae very effectively cleared Jang-mi of all misunderstandings this episode Go him!

In fact, I'm actually so excited. I loved how this episode dealt with Ki-tae's and Jang-mi's growing relationship and the importance of communication : In fact, the show is doing such a wonderful job of exploring the issues that new relationships bring, that I almost wish it had gotten here a little sooner even though I've actually thoroughly enjoyed the pacing. But, all in all, I think this drama is on track to having perfectly satisfying final episodes next week.

There's just enough conflict left to balance out cute with some nice emotional payoffs and I have faith that this drama can accomplish this wonderfully. But seriously. I really don't want this drama to end and that's a very unusual sentiment for me. It wasn't even that embarrassing for either of them because they were both acting ridiculous.

So, together, they ended up just being an adorable pair. Ki-tae's dancing. Too cute. Also Hoon- dong's "You can't see me? I loved how Ki-tae was willing to go at Jang-mi's pace and how he supported her even though she was working with Yeo-reum. All the dynamics of their relationship were wonderful to watch play out this episode because everything they did came from the right place.

Jang-mi wanted a "cool" relationship precisely because, more than ever, she wanted things to work out with Ki-tae.

sorry, that

And he was so focused on trying to be understanding of her and not to pressure her, that he didn't realize that just because she says she wants them to act "cool" doesn't mean that he needs to stop trying to convince her they should become more than that.

This is perhaps why their conversation at the end is one of my favorite moments of them by far because they were dealing with such a real relationship issue. When you try so hard to accommodate the other's needs, or don't want someone to worry about you, you only really end up with unnecessary distance between the So I loved how they openly talked through their struggles and reevaluated their relationship.

It was really lovely to watch them both work so hard so that they could feel proud next to each other. I especially loved how Ki-tae was willing to get interviewed by a bunch of strangers in his apartment!

He really has come such a long way. Really, the main reason they had such a hard time communicating was simply because they were working so hard all of the time. Ki-tae was so hot and cute and funny when he told Jang-mi he wanted to do more than sleeping.

Like seriously. How does he do that?! I was laughing and swooning all at once. I swear, in so many ways, aesthetically Yeon Woo-jin is not my type. And then they were just too funny and adorable on top of that!!! Why do I only get 2 more episodes of them? This drama has been the death of me since the first week of airing.

All your observations were on point and even though dad was a douche His tiny scene still moved the plot and story along so well. The thing I really agree with from lollipip is yr. His sudden change in attitude made no sense from the beginning. Seha I can see her turning since she always wanted to be my kt side even as a friend so helping with his business made a ton of sense. You made such great points, Chandler! I totally agree with you about YWJ, too! At first, he was not really my ideal type in looks when it came to Korean actors.

But he has truly grown on me and made this character so absolutely lovable. I totally overplayed the last scene between the OTP so many times. How can any person deny Gi Tae's request when he looks so hot and delicious asking for it? Thanks for the recap, LollPip!

I've been waiting for it all day and for my chance to squee over this episode. Totally agree about YWJ too, he's hilarious! I loved that scene of him and Hoon Dong also consistently hilarious dancing away like little dorks. I also can't help laughing every time Ki-tae looks up and instantly deflates when Se Ah enters a room, and she just kind of comes in with that sort of half resigned, hey whaddaya gonna do look - I swear that must have happened like ten times by now!

I was actually going to say something about this! I think it's hilarious how at least once per episode lately, there will be a scene where Ki-tae is either waiting for Jang-mi or for patients etc. Like, it's happened so many times in a row now and for some reason I find it really funny. Chandler: wow Chandler dear. I still can't get over it It's good that both don't beat around the bush to get what they want hahah. It's nice to see something different for a change in korean dramas!

They kill me every episode but esp this time when they coincide with GT's dance moves. And oh the dancing! From both GT and HD!! So cute! GT really sees how JM's is looked down on by his family.

And also he finally as well as me sees how his parents relationship truly is as well as his dad. So skeazy. Its way worst that he got married with adultery preplanned. From their open dialogue to their cute little moments to the mom walking in to a pretty evident scene. And with the cherry on top JM walks out in GT's t-shirt JM's dad left with side stitches.

I really thought it would be a cute heartfelt letter! But I loved that it wasn't! The crazed awkward laughing scene at the restaurant was such an obvious moment where JM was trying to be "cool" and failing miserably.

These were just some highlights of mine but it was such a fun hour watch!! So sad i have to wait a week for more of these two and to see how exactly his mom handles the situation she walked into!! But, if 20 years from now, I walk into his home and see women's clothes strewn all over, I'm turning around and running right back out and pretending I don't know anything.

What mom stands around and waits to see who comes out of the room so that everyone can die of awkwardness? Boundaries, lady! That's why you and your son have so many issues as it is For the first time ever I'm watching, not one but two shows that have stayed funny even through the angsty parts. This show is so super hilarious. Why is that man allowed to walk around being so very beautiful?

That's a crime, right? I realize that I've never actually watched any of his shows, though? Can he act? The little snippet I saw here was not very promising. Oh sorry, meant to mention, the other one is Fated To Love You. Even in the really sad episodes a couple of weeks ago they managed to introduce some levity and they bounced back quickly after some necessary angst.

I'm the Mom of a grown daughter, and I would never just stroll into her apartment without calling, let alone knocking! So rude. And potentially awkward And if you did walk in someone else's house and there were intimates strewn across the floor, the least you could do would be to call out so that they have warning that someone is there so they don't do something like wander out with no panties on in front of their secret boyfriend's mother.

This is the first one that I thought actually stayed light and funny throughout except for that one episode, but I can forgive because it went right back to the funny. Even when it has me feeling sorry for the leads, I'm still laughing. This is good. I'm stoked for the last two episodes now, and I just love that we finally get to see Jang-mi and Ki-tae be boyfriend and girlfriend. When it's just the two of them on screen, it feels like a completely different show. I enjoy watching their honesty with each other and their cuteness, of course.

They have been such an awesome pairing. I agree with you on Se-ah and Yeo-reum not really getting their comeuppance. So they are just two gorgeous people who meddle in multiple people's lives and they get to be nice, caring friends at the end?

If that's what the writer wanted from the beginning, for everyone to be nice and cheerful with each other, then why bother making those two characters go down the road of desperation in the first place? It's like the writer couldn't make up their mind and just tried things. That is my only gripe with this show now. I'm sad Mom was again lied to just when she was warming up to Jang-mi again.

can not recollect

I can't even fault her for her impending coldness because it is justifiable this time around. I'm waiting for this drama to wrap up nicely and give all the characters I like and love their deserved ending. Yesss ive commented on ep 13 about how i cant believe that were given such a sweetheart version of yeoreum just an episode after he deliberately hugged jangmi just for gitae's mom to see! Like, as a viewer i cant believe he could work with jangmi with no other motive and in ep 13 i thought he wasnt gonna keep his word and seduce jangmi but this ep he was such an angel.

Doesnt make sense! Se ah is still acceptable bc technically she was helping gitae and she doesnt care about jangmi. But yeoreum? I know people change but at least make it like hoon dongs progression.

I can't help but wonder what comeuppance HYR deserved in all honesty. I would hardly call what he did meddling. He was courting, rightfully so, a single woman who had shown an interest in him. Yes, hugging her deliberately in front of Gi Tae's mom was a bit a douchey, but it was also a human thing to do. He didn't premeditate it, it was a split second decision and a really desperate one at that. The girl he had been courting and was showing a legitimate interest in and up until that point was doing the same, suddenly says she is no longer interested after he opened up to her.

Yeah I can imagine in the grand total of 30 seconds after hearing that he was like "Oh that's cool, no biggie". Why such a double standard? I don't see how he is any better? Just because he ended up with her?

It' not like HYR was fabricating the truth. They had been dating. The situation was already there, he just bought it to light in a ill manner. I actually enjoyed the fact that the writer took this route. Sometimes in life you got to learn to bow out gracefully and I like that eventually both second leads came to that.

They learnt they can be bitter and manipulative and alienate the people they care about just because a person does not reciprocate ones feelings does not make this null and voi or they can accept it and support them. God isn't it nice to see people being mature? I think it was appropriate character growth and not so out of the realm of possibility. Too many people seem to have the lead couple bias. Plus why the need for blood?

The lead couple is happy and amazing. I think losing the ones they care about is comeuppance enough. Why the need for more suffering? Lol sometimes I read these comments and I am like have we been watching the same show.

He has always been cool and casual about him and JJM's relationship, no matter how emotionally invested he was. He is going to be cool and casual about if after. Because thats the kind of person he has, is and will be. How many guys would not make a huge fuss about someone they are basically dating kissing another guy.

Not too many. How many guys would be like ,"Yeah go ahead and be fake engaged with little or no explanation to how its beneficial to you or me, sure thing sweetpea". She said he liked him he took her word for it. She said he was no longer interested he had his moment and carried on. I think the reason why he acted like that, because well know HYR has huge abandonment issues. In that moment I think he was confronted with that and so he reacted harshly. I think he has been given a personality of his own and the show has been consistent with that.

He doesn't want to be lonely and gets attached to things, but he also knows life goes on. He learnt that after his mum left, he practiced it after him JJM were over.

He is not going to stomp his feet and scream and make a huge deal about it. He has always had a moral compass, returning the money after JJM found it about him spying, paying for the truffles, generally using only expired ingredients and paying GGT back for his loan. He is not going to try and hit on someone who he respects and admires like GGT's woman.

It's not in his nature. Correct me if I am missing something, I rarely rewatch episodes, but I don't think HYR's character lacks progression at all. She said she was no longer interested he had his moment and carried on.

I read the recaps and the subsequent comments which left me baffled. What did Yeo reum do that was so wrong?

Are we watching the same drama, here? If anything, Jang mi and Yeo reum were the ones legitimately dating, and I can 't count the number of times Gi Tae sabotaged their dates and even kissed Joo Jang mi when she was still dating someone else.

The fact that Jang mi and Gi Tae ended up together doesn't excuse his actions. If you want to get technical about it, you could even accuse Jang mi of two timing her boyfriend Yeo reum, who was being remarkably patient with Jang mi's and Gi Tae's 'fake' relationship. If anything, the ones who need their comeuppance in this drama are the lead couple. Don't get me wrong, I ship Gi Tae with Jang mi more than anything and think they make a cute and lovely couple. But I'm not wearing any blinders or developing selective amnesia just because they are the main leads who everyone wants to end up together!

I really like the way you lay down the way and why YR acted the way he did things. How did Hoon Dong, the boss, end up peeling onion for Yeo-reum's restaurant? I think he's bored at his own restaurant. I think it was more to gossip to jm about how kt is doin since.

Which is a type of reversal in of itself. Whereas the women's friendship has the element of men's in most shows. HD, clearly cares about his friend a lot, even accepting that his friend might be gay, even after dating all those women. Also, dancing with him. Anyone else notice that her bra left on the couch was white but she was clearly wearing a black bra - you could see it under her white shirt I didn't notice the bra but I counted how many underwear and shorts there were and I kept seeing one too many pair.

Well, it wasn't Jang Mi's first nite at Gi Tae's. Can we assume that she had spare clothing stashed there? I would think the black bra was much series then the one on the couch. I love the resolution to last episode's cliffhanger. He didn't pout nor beg; just simply asked, "Whoever said anything about marriage? I thought the events would unfold with Ki Tae accepting Se Ah's job offer; then because his clinic closed down, Hoon Dong's restaurant would have no customers, so he would go work at the bar; then because Se Ah's hospital is close to the bar, they would all hang out there like Cheers.

I felt proud seeing him study because he finally stopped waiting around for Jang Mi while she played aloof. I cheered at his snide remark about her always being sleepy every time she is around him. Is their bar 24 hours? Her constant falling asleep was so inconsiderate of his feelings. I could feel their awkward silences through my computer screen. Couples usually run out of things to talk about years into their relationship, but they just started dating.

[ENG] ??? ??? Sunhwa cut FINAL Ep 16 Marriage Not Dating (Julien Kang + messy wedding scene)

That is not a good sign. Thank goodness they were back to their Chatty Cathy selves after dropping the "cool" act. I don't see anything wrong with Mom catching them, other than the embarrassment for both parties. But this is a good way for her to realize they are together and are serious with each other. Where in the world did Hyun Hee get the money to open a bar? Thanks for the recap, LollyPip!

I think her constant falling asleep was partly meant to show how comfortable she was around him. I don't really think she was that inconsiderate a little bit, yes because she obviously treasured the moments she got to sleep on his shoulder and even sited it as her reason for being able to work so hard. Also I don't think they necessarily ran out of things to say, but that they simply had to make it through that awkward friends-to-lovers transition.

When you think about it, they've never really gone through the "how do I impress this person" stage because they moved directly to the "I can be myself around this person" stage as soon as they met.

So now that they're dating, it's almost like they felt the need to go back to the stage they missed because now they care what the other person thinks. It actually shows how much they've come to respect each other. They just needed to mess up a bit first to see that the reason they wanted to be together in the first place was because they had a relationship in which they could be themselves.

I like this one because it's essential in order to make a relationship works in the long run. This is what makes their relationship extra special and meaningful. Even when she intends to appear good in front of him, she can't help but shamelessly fell asleep on their date. Granted she's just too tired working at the restaurant which is fine an excuse.

Though I find it absurd and frustrating, I like it that she can do that comfortably around him. Oh, no - it's accurate. Opening your own business - especially a restaurant where you're running at full speed for hours at a time - is exhausting and stressful.

Until you've toughened up a bit, you're going to be doing nothing but working and sleeping. I think the stress of opening her own business and the fact that she was so comfortable with Gi Tae was why she kept falling asleep on him. As for her mom, frankly, I don't think she cares where Jang mi spends the night. Remember what Jang mi told Gi Tae, both parents were so busy working and spend their nights in seperate rooms so when she woke up she hardly ever saw her parents, they were like strangers living in the same house.

It was only when Gi Tae was with them, that they made an effort to appear as a family. She probably didn't even notice that Jang mi sleeps elsewhere. As for Jang mi, the atmosphere at home must be toxic, and she would probably like to avoid that as much as possible.

The thing is, she could have chosen napping during those times, but instead she chose going on dates with him. And what's a boyfriend for if not for lending a shoulder in time of need? I do understand her reasons for falling asleep and Ki Tae was more than sympathetic, but I still felt hurt on his behalf.

To compare, when students fall asleep in class, there are a number of reasons homework, studying, part-time jobs, partyingbut to the professor, they can't help feeling it is because their lecture is boring. On the park bench, she fell asleep in the middle of his sentence, so niggling at the back of his mind would be he is not interesting enough to keep her awake. He didn't say "you're always sleepy whenever you see me" maliciously he said it in a nice tonebut I liked it because it showed he noticed and he was bothered by it.

The ost my han groo was such a pleasant surprise. From now on. Kdrama is changed forever. Coz that's what we want. Oh, and this particular mother-in-law is so human, I just want to hug her.

I say do away with them all. It seems like the writer is panicking that YR got lots of haters due to his jealous antics so the sudden transition is a way to win back our affection for him but not me because I never care about him anyway. Also what's so wrong with second leads being evil all the way to the end? It's not like it never happens in real life. In real live normal people give up their unrequited loves pretty fast and move on - lots of other fish in the ocean. If they don't, it's called obsessive tendencies and they ether become addicts, seek a therapist or, unfortunately, buy a gun and show up at the ex's door.

All rolled into one with a complicated revenge plan. U can most likely check them on the mnd wiki page or Asianwiki. The show is killing it for the paid cable ratings but I think it still falls short to reply That 3. I can't count how many times I've replayed this episode. I love the honest conversation and all conversation Jang Mi-Gi tae had. They looked so real and it reflected how a normal couple looked like. How come Yeon Woo Jin's voice is so soothing every time he speak? Love this show to pieces.

HD and GT's interactions always kill me. HD had a douchy past but deep down he's just a kind hearted manchild. Their friendship is so endearing because both are honest to each other and understand each others weaknesses. Everyone is finally on the hoon train with me. I like that even though he looks ridiculous he still plays out his roll.

HD is the best comic relief in a kdrama in a long time. Seriously that actor and Yeon Woo Jim have the best reaction expressions! That coupled with the sound effects make this drama so fun to watch. Total WWE fan here. That "you can't see me" thing was a reference to John Cena, and I just love it when K-dramas make references to things I know and love here in the U. That was a totally cute scene. If looks could kill - Han Yeo Reum would be dead!!

Those side eyes he was getting from Mama Gong when she visited the restaurant were lethal. She most definitely is NOT a fan! And neither am I! I thought he was a turd for all his interactions with my favourite couple - from him conceitedly informing Jang Mi that girls usually ask for him and not Ho Doong at the restaurant 1st episode up to wheedling a bunking arrangement with Jang Mi after being kicked out from the restaurant and everything else beyond.

He progressed into a low-down turd with that intentional hug in front of Gi Tae's mom, calculated to draw bad blood between Jang Mi and Mom without any benefit to anyone, himself included, with the fall out rippling through both families leaving heartaches everywhere. I assume this was product placement same as the billboard for Restylane that is crowding his desk.

Ugh, PPLs. They make me laugh. As do integral scenes in dramas where they force the actors to speak English. I thought the cleaning device was hilarious! She got a smooth skin from it, that's some considerate bf He was speaking mostly Korean in Potato Star. But he was playing a foreigner so his character had an accent and would often mix words up.

I'm getting a very Coffee Princey vibe from this show, especially these last few episodes. They remind me of when Han-kyul and Eun-chan finally start dating and then the whole I want to be a woman worthy of you business came up.

Also, the leads are so relaxed with one another it also feels like Coffee Prince. Oh yeah totally agree I also got coffee Prince vibes coz of how comfortable and relaxed the leads are together. Thank you for what you wrote about the second leads because I completely agree. I don't applaud all the writer's choices for their characters, but I don't feel like they simply went from Bad to Good, especially Yeo-reum.

The one bad thing he did the hug was his breaking point and an understandable one considering the fact that he had to watch the girl he was dating fall for someone else right in front of him. He felt bad about being petty in that moment and has since backed off. He's probably helping now because he feels bad about what he did. I agree about Se-ah too, while still thinking that her character should have been written waaaay differently.

I agree with your comments on Yeo-reum, not so much on Se-ah's. I think she has finally come to terms that she can't coerce Ki-tae away from Jang-mi but that doesn't mean to me that she's back to being a supportive friend.

I'm not sure if she ever WAS a real "friend. Right now I see her actions as continuing to be manipulative and opportunistic, just not in the same blatant way. I think she's gone back to hanging back and wait for the first sign of trouble from Ki-tae's relationship to try to weasel her way in. The easiest way to do that is to stay close and oh! How lucky for her!

Ki-tae's clinic is doing poorly and it's already been established that her dad has wanted Ki-tae to work for him. I think she MIGHT have felt something resembling shame after she laid everything out to Ki-tae and he still rejected her but since she never truly seem to be remorseful of her spiral into insanity I guess that's the Catch, you can't be crazy if you recognize yourself to be crazy?

I don't buy that she's repented and just being a good friend now. As a person who really thought Se Ah was the craziest second lead female ever with the sperm thing, I agree with you.

I actually liked what they did with her character because what makes me crazy about these types of second female leads is that they make them so crazy and desperate that I don't understand them. Se Ah in beautiful, rich, successful, and smart.

This is true for almost every second female lead like her.

Currently Airing

I have never understood how we are supposed to believe that women like them consistently fall a part forever when a man they love leaves them. She did her bit and took a ride on the crazy train. Who doesn't after a break up? She makes her last stance and then she releases him.

The two of them breaking up was not only good for Gi tae but robably good for her, too, in the long run. She has the potential not to be crazy, but she would have stayed that way if her tactics had worked. She is a smart woman all the advice she gives to Gi tae is spot onso I am happy to not see another smart remember she is a doctor, too fall apart permanently. Now it is time for Gi tae's mom to get a divorce!

I think part of the crazy is not unrealistic for her. She realized she needed to back off, but she's been there for years. And when you hang onto something and wait for it for years, letting go takes a little bit of crazy, not unlike.

answer, matchless

She waited and waited and then watched it all fall apart in just a matter of weeks. Even the crazy sperm thing was part keeping a connection and hoping it turns into something more, and part keeping at least some parting gift of the person she loved.

It's not like the leads who have just met someone and become inexplicably obsessed with making them theirs. I think those kinds of leads are mostly chalked up to women with such huge superiority complexes that losing to anyone they think is inferior is just impossible to let slide. Wow, I ended up with so many cut off sentences. I meant "her not letting go so easily is not unlike the lead's parents.

Each pair has been together so long that even though it's basically been over for years the death throes are still ugly. I found it quite realistic. It's just a the whites of her eyes and it brought a very natural felt to those scenes. I give her props cause I can't fake that I've really enjoyed Jang-mi and Ki-tae these past two episodes. Up until this week I felt like the show hadn't given me enough reasons to root for this pairing except for the fact that I was "supposed to.

really. agree with

Thank you! Finally I can enthusiastically root for these guys!

message simply matchless

Nothing is sexier than knowing your partner wants it as much as you! My only real complaint about the recap is you bunching Se-ah and Yeo-reum together as the confusing "Bad-guys turned Good-guys. There was no reason to believe that except for dramaland's trustworthy ability to make important events happen coincidentally at the same time.

Se-ah is just crazy times and she's honestly just a scary, scary crazy person - I think she's not become nice, I think she just still being manipulative and opportunistic to get close to Ki-tae.

Yeo-reum, on the other hand, has made a lot of mistakes but at the end of the day I've never doubted that he's always felt affection towards Jang-mi after getting to know her and the same regarding Ki-tae. He had a moment of selfishness in front Ki-tae's mom but I think that by now he's realized it's game over. The three of them became a little family while the two boys lived together so it makes sense he wants to take care of his family, even if it's not what he might want for himself.

Can you tell me guys how can I get over with this drama? It's ending next week and as much as I want to see a happy ending, I also don't want to let go my nemo couple yet.
